Spring has bloomed

Custom Design & Embroidery @ Party Cat!

I’m finally back! Sorry I have not had the opportunity to log in since July. A lot has happened at Party Cat over the past 9 months. There have been many ups and downs with the current economy. I have taken this “opportunity” to really look at the direction of the business and see what needed to change to adapt to our changing world. Well, I am happy to announce that through all of this I feel that Party Cat is going to come out stronger and better than before. We, the Party Cat team, have spent countless hours going over business plans and have decided to stick to what we do best, just enhance it. We are committed to still offering you, our loyal customers, the highest level of quality, large selection and convenience that you are accustomed to finding at Party Cat and www.partycat.com. We have however decided to “take it up a notch” (to quote one of my favorite chefs, Emeril Lagasse). By doing so we now are happy to announce that we have a full time Graphic Designer on staff. What does this mean to you? We can offer you one of a kind, custom designs. Maybe you have always dreamed of your wedding invitations taking on the look and feel of your great grandmothers chin pattern, we can do that! Or, you would like your babies birth announcements to have the look of your beloved stuffed teddy bear that you have passed down to your new born son, we can do that! The options are limitless. If you can dream it, we can make it into a realitly. Now, you may be asking, at what cost can you make my invitation dreams a reality? Starting at just $1.00 per invitation plus the cost of printing ($24/25 invitations) we can create anything you can think up. If you want something over the top, we will work with you to come up with the right paper and design to fit your event.
What else have we been up to since the start of 2010? In January we purchased a commercial embroidery machine. After a few months of getting to know all of the ins and out of the machine we are proud to announce that we offer embroidery at Party Cat! I believe this was one of the best decisions I have made in regards to the business. Our customers are flocking in with their own stock to have embroidered and also to purchase embroidery gifts that we have in stock and ready to go. Currently our lead time on all embroidery is 2 business days. We also have the ability to digitize any design (again, thank goodness for the graphic designer). Whether you have a logo that you would like to put on a shirt or your child’s art work that you would like to add to a canvas bag, we can do it!
I hope that you will come see us soon whether you visit us in our boutique in Tarrytown or online at www.partycat.com.
See you soon,
Cindy

My name is Cindy Cobuzzi Gehring and I grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts in a fairly formal environment. As a result of my upbringing, coupled with my love of stationery and invitations, I have become a self made “expert” in the field of etiquette and manners. Through this, I have learned the importance of being comfortable in all social situations. This I believe is something that you carry with you in all aspects of your life. I am a witness to this everyday as my teenage children are morphing into young adults. They have been given all of the tools needed to succeed in the “real” world. They understand the importance of writing a proper thank you note after interviewing for colleges or jobs as well as being prepared to act appropriately at either formal or informal social gatherings.

Many of my friends and customers have come to me asking for my advice in a variety of situations (ranging from invitation and thank you note etiquette to how to set a proper dinner table). I would now like to take this opportunity to share my knowledge with you. I will be posting my response to frequently asked questions and I invite you, the reader, to share your opinions and comments or ask any questions that you may have.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Cindy
